These images are for the November/December 2010 newsletter.

Make it to wear yourself or give someone a Scarfigan for a great but simple and quick-to-sew Holiday gift. Here’s my first version of it in the same navy blue pinstripe wool crepe as the pants making it a complete outfit. Even though I had the pants for a few years with hopes of getting around to a matching jacket
I devised this simple to sew top and was able to wear it in about two hours time. Look through all of those spare yards of fabric you may have saved for a skirt or vest or splurge on something magnificent since you don’t need much yardage. This is a simple garment with a great impact.

November/December 2010

  The Chanel fall 2010
Couture collection inspired
these bracelets made with
buttons, vintage costume
jewelry and chains. How-to
is in the newsletter page 6.

For holiday gift giving or tote-ing, it takes no time at
all to make a fashionable tote. Use the instructions
from the Grosgrain Ribbon Handbag pattern from
long ago, starting with a 17” square. This has a
nice flat bottom and ready-made leather handles.

Hand knit sleeves and collar fit neatly into the body of the
1945A pattern that has been transformed with onseam
pockets. Directions are on pages 7 & 8 of this issue.

Here are some additional acrylic raschel knits that can be ordered just as those in the newsletter. From the top: brown metallic
stripe, black & pale blue, and
black and white zigzag. Check 111002 & 3 for detail.

      Here are the Glamour fabrics:
bottom left is the Brown/Gold Herringbone and above it the coordinate 1211 Brown Knit. Bottom right is the Camel Glamour Knit.

For a country holiday look, here's the Pine Herringbone and Velvet.

The light is so reflective off of this
Brown Paisley Burnout Velvet that I'm glad
you have a swatch.

Here are two other fabrics that were not swatched--they are a burnout on an organza and would make fabulous tops, shawls or smoke-ring type of scarves--the one on the left is matte gold and black and on the right matte gold and brown. I can send a swatch with your order if you'd like. They weigh next to nothing to ship.
